The headline should not be an option if you do not want to pay for the news.
Paywalls' business model—annoy the user a hundred times with a bait-and-switch commercial, then convert to pay every month before they die—hampered the internet's potential to be a free and open experience.
If a user does not want to encounter a paywall, Hacker Noon claims that paywalled content can be filtered out of search results and newsfeeds.
This plugin filters out pages that are considered to be paywalled from the Google search results.

How to install it:

  1. Go to FreeInternetPlugin.com, or you can download the Free Internet Plugin directly from the Chrome extension store .
  2. When you search Google now, this plugin will by default block the view of search results from 100+ of the most common pages with paywalls as their business model. Any site may be added or removed from the search list.
  3. Now you can browse internet without advertising in your search results for paywalled stories (。◕‿◕。)
